Healthy Malden

Executive Director Kevin Duffy has extensive experience in managing community-wide coalitions, including the creation of the Cyber CafĂ© @ Malden Square, Malden’s free computer center. Born and raised in the community, Duffy has strong ties to countless Malden-based organizations and remains a Malden resident with professional expertise in community outreach, project management, and government relations. Prior to his position at HMI, Duffy was Community Liaison for Hallmark Health, Director of Special Projects for State Representative Peter Koutoujian, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Health, and Chief of Staff for State Representative Christopher G. Fallon. Additionally, he is an elected school committee person for the Malden Public Schools.

Program Manager Jan Mannone has been a Malden resident for more than 30 years and belongs to numerous civic and social organizations. In her role on the HMI staff team, Mannone has brought together schools, parents, agencies, city government, and businesses to address a number of priority issues, including substance abuse and addiction. Jan coordinates Healthy Malden’s Task Force meetings, creates and distributes promotional materials about programs, and recruits focus group facilitators and coordinates logistics for projects. She also hosts a monthly Culture Club that highlights various customs and cultures through presentations by guest speakers, samplings of international cuisine, participation in international craft projects, and networking opportunities between parents of various ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds. She had served as a member and leader of the Lincoln School Community Organization for seventeen years.

Business Manager Kristine Williams provides fiscal and financial oversight to Healthy Malden and serves as a liaison between HMI and the local business community. She coordinates billing and payments to all HMI subcontractors, as well as maintains records to meet government fiscal requirements. Kristine has worked at HMI since March 2002 and received her MS and BS in Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston.
